Branch & Community Development Manager
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Piedmont Advantage Credit Union is seeking an enthusiastic
Branch and Community Development Manager to direct the branch operations for
the Winston-Salem locations of our progressive Credit Union. The ideal
candidate will be a strong leader who can manage through change and thrive on
creating outside-the-box solutions for our members. This position will also
ensure that all branches conduct their operations with meeting member needs and
compliance requirements in mind. The incumbent will help to grow our brand
awareness in the Winston-Salem, NC market through community involvement.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Ensures the operations of the branch environment
are compliant with all internal policies and external Credit Union
requirements. Stays abreast of Credit Union trends and industry changes that
affect branch operations. Underwrites consumer loans up to the amount assigned
per credit union policy; reviews and approves underwriting decisions of
Uses creativity and community knowledge to
create opportunities for branch staff to positively impact the communities we
are involved in through outreach. Represents the branch as appropriate in its
relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other
financial institutions, and similar groups.
Provides feedback to and collaborates with
management team to set lending and deposit growth goals for their branch. Uses
powers of influence and creativity to motivate staff to reach and exceed all
growth goals. Monitors branch results relative to established objectives and
ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
Responsible for the overall management and
development of the employees in their branch. Directs, develops, motivates,
hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and
takes appropriate personnel actions.
Tracks results of branch and creates reporting
for distribution to management team. Attends appropriate management meeting to
understand the Vision for the Credit Union and how that impacts their branch
and the community it supports.
Collaborates with peers to develop and share
best practice solutions to benefit Credit Union members and ensures the member
experience in their branch is positive and consistent with others.
5 years of similar or related experience is
Experience in a Financial Institution is
A Bachelor’s degree in a finance or business is
Experience with staff management required.
Experience with relationship
management/development is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication
The ability to manage multiple projects at once
with a very fast pace.
A strong sense of confidentiality.
The ability to collaborate within and outside
the department and throughout the credit union.
