A Teller-Float has a home base at one branch on a routine basis
and will travel within the region to cover teller absences.
A teller is responsible for
building relationship with clients and prospects in order to identify financial
needs and to maximize sales opportunities. These relationships will be built
through tele-consulting and actively listening to a client to determine their
financial need and provide a solution. Responsible for day to day accurate and
efficient processing and recording of routine transactions for bank clients
including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan
payments and money transfers. Tellers are trained to promote and advise on the
bank's products and services.
Work daily with clients to maximize sales opportunities and to
attain referral goals set forth in the Bank's sales and referral program.
A teller works within the Teller Procedures and Check Cashing
Policies and is guided by the Over and Short policy set by the Bank. A teller will routinely:
cash advances on credit cards
client account inquires
Series EE Bonds
robbery procedures and understand use of bait money
in the Sales & Service program
other assignments as requested.
some clerical, administrative, cash handling, sales or customer
service experience preferred
retail banking experience a plus
High school diploma or
general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
