Temporary Title Assistant

California Title Company, one of the largest independently owned, underwritten Title Companies in the United States is currently hiring for a temporary Title Assistant for the Laguna Niguel, CA office. The temporary Title Assistant is a critical role in providing excellent customer service and accurate information to our clients throughout the transaction process.
The temporary Title Assistant will perform a variety of clerical tasks which include researching, typing various forms of correspondence, processing incoming mail, proofreading various documents, filing, copying, and other administrative support tasks as assigned by the Title Officer.
The temporary Title Assistant will be expected to have an understanding of title procedures and policy issuance sufficient to communicate with clients in the opening and closing of title files and the preparation of the documents and instructions for closing transactions. This individual will ensure accurate and complete information on the title documents.
The temporary Title Assistant will perform any and all other tasks and duties as directed by the Title Officer.
Minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent.
Minimum three years of experience as a title assistant. Ability to operate standard office equipment.
Knowledge of real estate, title and/or mortgage business is required. Knowledge of legal descriptions helpful.
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Internet and other industry related software). Typing speed of 45-60 WPM preferred.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadlines.
